HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Our Story..

​

Hailing from The Hague, The Netherlands, Mazarine Henninger started modelling when she was 18 years old. In 2017 when she was 23 with 'No one is you and that is your power' as her motto, she began a mission to positively impact the modelling industry. 

​

'When I started as a model one of my hardest days were the ones where I thought I could do it all by myself. I wish I had invested in some guidance regarding food & work-out at the time. People often forget modelling is one of the most individual jobs: All these young girls travel alone, do jobs alone, and even map out how to stay in shape and their nutrition alone. All that in a country that isn't home, where people speak an unfamiliar tongue. Often people asked me: 'and who helps you with that?' -Good question!'

'Basically all guidelines you get, is the measurements your body should have and the rest is up to you. Your body should be skinny, but not too skinny. Toned, but definitely not too musculair: No one that prepares you for the mental and physical challenge. Unfortunately that's where a lot of obsessing over food and/or eating disorders are born:a lack of guidance, and a lack of time and therefore an increase of last minute solutions. I myself have definitely tried all the wrong things I would never recommend anyone trying, from crash diets to unnecessary long hours on the thread mill, and so did my peers. My conclusion continuously came down to the same thing: health should be for the long run, going from diet to diet is not sustainable, nor good for anyones health.'

That's why Mazarine decided to bundle her experiences, based on 5 years of training while modelling abroad. She gathered the workouts that have eventually helped her maintain a steady healthy routine that kept her measurements and hormones in check, and started offering these for everyone to join.

​

After training models in Milan for their work in a healthy and sustainable way, the sweatbox fever got contagious! The demand of model workouts increased and so did our community. The sweatbox expanded from model workouts to all types of training and coaching for the modern female which has turned into a beautiful collective of women from all walks of life. In 2019 we moved from Milan to The Hague and created a community for women, to come together and to bloom in a safe space.

Holistic lifestyle coaching where you dive into any topics varying from PCOS to menopause, emotional regulation, anxiety, building a new habit or lifestyle and more. 

Nutrition and customised meal plans

From time to time you can follow workshops at The Sweatbox, retreats, clothing swaps, cacao ceremonies and more.

The sweatbox trainers are a great fit and are amazing coaches. They genuinely care about me not just as a client but as a person. Looking for someone who is really there with you on your journey, wherever you're aiming for? The sweatbox is definitely your answer. They are genuinely one of the purest and loving teams I've experienced, and can understand so many layers in both nutritional and movement+well-being aspects in life. Together with my sister I followed weekly personal duo training sessions at the sweatbox in times I really needed it as much mentally as physically.
